Glass Types
At Design Glass we use a variation of glass types to ensure every leaded light we make is fit for purpose. We have lots to choose from and can source any glass you require to help make your ideal leaded light, stained glass or glass ceiling dome.
Our main glass types
Antique Cathedral Glass
A medium textured glass available in clear and a range of colours. A traditional style with reams and bubbles creating a irregular surface.
English Muffle Glass
Corella Glass
A deeper grained glass with a heavier surface texture. Available in lots of shades and colours and great for use in entrance ways.
A traditional and obscuring glass. Available in clear and a range of colours. Small compact grains create a relatively smooth texture.
We have a range of glass available in multiple colours. You can either request a special type of glass or we can show you a variety of ideas for you to choose. We always keep a large range of glass in our Yorkshire workshop but can always source a special type of glass if requested for a specific leaded light or stained glass piece.
